CMAT stands for Common Management Admission test, is an online test and it is conducted by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). It is a national level admission test and aspirants who succeed to pass this entrance test can take admission for any kind of management programs at the B-colleges of the country. The first CMAT test was conducted in the year 2012. AICTE has announced a total of 4 lakhs seats and all of them will be covered by CMAT Entrance Examination.
CMAT 2015 Test Eligibility
- The candidate should have passed graduation with at least 50% aggregate.
- Final year students of graduation can also take part in this examination.
CMAT 2015 Format
CMAT is a three hour test and this online, computer based test was conducted by AICTE for a period of nine days in the year 2012. CMAT was conducted in 61 different locations from all across India in the year 2012.
The question paper of CMAT Entrance examination is categorized into four different sections.
- Section I is comprised of Quantitative Technique.
- Section II is comprised of Logical Reasoning.
- Section III is comprised of Language Comprehension.
- Section IV is comprised of General Awareness.
Each section consists of 25 questions and for every correct answer, you will score 4 marks. CMAT Entrance Examination also has negative marking and for every wrong answer, you will get 1 negative mark.
AICTE has now decided to conduct CMAT in foreign countries as well. This will facilitate all NRIs and PIOs to appear in the CMAT Entrance Examination.
CMAT 2015 Test Fee
- General and OBC category candidates can fill CMAT application form for Rs. 1400 + bank charges as apply.
- SC, ST and PD category candidates can fill the CMAT application form for Rs.700+bank charges.
- In foreign countries, candidates can fill CMAT application form for 25$+bank charges.
