How to Apply for CTET 2022 Exam?

Would you be applying for CTET examination this year? Well, you must be looking for information on how to apply for CTET. Now, this is to note here the entire registration or application process for CTET is conducted online. You will have to go to the official website of  ctet.nic.in to complete the application process. The CTET application process is very simple and the registration window can be availed for one month. The online window for CTET is already open by now.

Much to your convenience, here is a brief on the steps to be followed to complete the application process for CTET Exam.

Step 1 : Fill the CTET Application Form

In the first step, you will have to fill up the CTET application form. Here are the steps-

  • Go to the official website of ctet.nic.in
  • Look for the section that says “Apply for CTET 2022”. Click on it to get your CTET application form
  • Type in required personal details on online form. All the details you will put should match with your details mentioned in your class X certificate
  • Choose exam centers- you will be able to select 4 centers
  • Fill in your communication, academic as well as other required details

Step 2 : Upload photo and signature

After you fill up the application form, you will proceed to-

  • Upload your photograph as per required instructions in the jpeg format
  • Upload your signature in the jpeg format

Step 3 : Pay CTET application fee

The CTET application fee for General/OBC is 1000 INR if the candidate is applying for one paper. In case, s/he is applying for both the papers, then the fee is 1200 INR. For candidates who belong to SC/ST/PwD category, the application fee is 500 INR for one paper and 600 INR if the candidate wants to appear for both papers. 

  • After you will complete uploading of image as well as signature, you will be immediately redirected to payment page
  • Select your payment option. You may choose to pay online and your options here are net banking or credit card or debit card. You can also choose offline payment option for which you will have to download e-challan as well as deposit required fee in either Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank

The last date for submission of CTET application fee for the upcoming July exam is February 27(up till 3:30 p.m.).

Step 4 : Take print out

  • After you complete the above mentioned processes, you will be redirected automatically to preview of your final application form. Check the form carefully and make necessary corrections if needed
  • Once you are done with the corrections (if any), click on “Submit” tab and submit the form
  • The final form will be displayed to you and should take a print out of the form for future references

In case you find out that a few details were wrong on the application form after you submit the form- don’t worry. CTET allows candidates to perform correction through a special correction window, even after the registration window closes. The correction window for CTET application form is from March 17 to March 24.
