The main goal of Adikavi Nannaya University was to provide higher studies to the people of Godavari district in the eastern and western regions. The university was inaugurated in 2006 and it is situated at Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. There are nearly 450 affiliated colleges that come under Adikavi Nannaya University which make it the tallest university in the state. The university is ranked 349 and approved by AICTE.

Eligibility Criteria
The process of admission to Adikavi Nannaya University for its various courses is explained below:
- There is a Common Entrance Test for PG courses and it is taken by the University.
- The entrance for the B.Tech is decided by a common entrance test conducted by University and candidates should have passed 10+2 with 50% in maths, physics and chemistry subjects.
- The entrance for the UG courses is decided on the basis of merit and the student must have completed 10+2 with min 50% marks.
- The candidates need to crack the Entrance Exam conducted by the university for admission in P.hD course.
